Slotzy (Slotzy, we, us, or our) is a South African appointment booking platform operated from South Africa, accessible at slotzy.co.za.
By creating a business account or using any part of our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (Terms). If you do not agree, do not use Slotzy.
These Terms apply to two types of users: Businesses (service providers who create a Slotzy account to accept bookings) and Customers (members of the public who use a business's booking page to make an appointment).
Slotzy provides a digital booking platform that enables small service businesses to accept appointments online via a QR code or booking link, and manage their schedule, staff, customers, and walk-in queues through a business dashboard.
Slotzy is a technology intermediary only. We facilitate bookings between businesses and their customers. We are not a party to any service agreement, employment relationship, or payment transaction between a business and its customers.
To create a business account you must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid South African ID, and operate a legitimate service business within South Africa.
Each Slotzy account represents one physical business location. Multiple locations require separate accounts and separate subscriptions.
To accept bookings, your business must complete our identity verification process. This involves submitting your SA ID number, a clear photo of your SA ID document, a portrait photo of yourself, and proof of your business (social media page, Google listing, or similar). We review submissions and will approve or reject within 48 hours with a reason.
What verification means: The Slotzy Verified badge confirms that we have reviewed your identity and that you appear to be a real person operating a real service business in South Africa. It is not a quality endorsement, guarantee of service, or professional accreditation. Customers book at their own discretion.
Verification is renewed annually. Failure to re-verify removes your badge and disables bookings until verification is completed.

Slotzy offers the following subscription plans:
A 14-day free trial of the Solo plan is automatically granted upon verification approval — no credit card required to start.
Subscription fees are billed monthly via PayFast Recurring Billing. By subscribing you authorise PayFast to charge your selected card on a recurring monthly basis. PayFast's own terms and privacy policy govern the payment transaction.
If a payment fails, your account enters a 3-day grace period during which your booking page remains fully live. On day 4, new bookings are blocked and your public booking page shows a holding message. Existing confirmed bookings remain accessible to your customers throughout. Your account is fully restored the moment a successful payment is received.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. After cancellation your account moves to the Free tier. Your data is retained for 90 days, after which customer booking history is anonymised and your business profile is deleted.
Slotzy subscription fees are non-refundable. We do not offer refunds for partial months, unused features, or downgraded plans. By subscribing you acknowledge and accept this policy. All subscription payments are processed by PayFast and are subject to their terms. If you believe a payment was taken in error, contact us at slotzy.info@gmail.com and we will investigate.
Upgrading takes effect immediately. Downgrading takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. On downgrade, features and staff/service limits revert to the lower tier — data is deactivated but not deleted, and can be reactivated by upgrading again.
Slotzy is not a payment processor and is never in the flow of money between businesses and customers. Slotzy is a booking and scheduling platform only. Any payments made for services are arranged directly between the customer and the business.
Slotzy displays each business's cancellation policy to customers before they book, but cannot enforce refunds or cancellation fees on behalf of any business. Whether a refund is issued for a cancelled appointment is a matter solely between the business and the customer.
Slotzy accepts no liability for any payment dispute between a business and a customer. Both parties must resolve disputes directly.
When booking through a business's Slotzy page, you are entering into a service agreement with that business — not with Slotzy. Slotzy is the technology platform that facilitates the booking, not the service provider.
By making a booking you confirm that the contact information you provide is accurate and that you consent to being contacted by the business and by Slotzy regarding your booking.
Deposit disputes are between you and the business. Slotzy cannot issue refunds on a business's behalf.
Reviews left on a business's Slotzy page must be honest and based on your actual experience. Fake, abusive, or defamatory reviews may be removed. One review per phone number per business is permitted.
The Slotzy platform, branding, and all associated software, designs, and content are owned by Slotzy and protected under applicable South African law. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works without our written permission.
You retain ownership of your business information, photos, and content uploaded to Slotzy. By uploading content you grant Slotzy a non-exclusive licence to display it on your booking page and use it to provide the service.
We may suspend or terminate a business account if:
Suspended businesses will be notified with a reason and given an opportunity to appeal. Slotzy will not unreasonably maintain a suspension where the issue has been resolved.
Slotzy is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for losses resulting from downtime, data loss, booking disputes, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of Slotzy is limited to the amount you paid us in subscription fees in the three months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under South African law.
Your use of Slotzy is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify business account holders of material changes via email or WhatsApp at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Slotzy after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. The current version is always available at slotzy.co.za/terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts. We will always attempt to resolve disputes amicably before resorting to legal proceedings.
For any questions about these Terms, contact us at slotzy.info@gmail.com.
